<div itemprop="description">CHASELEY, Rev. James Harold <br /> <br />With very sad hearts we announce the passing of Rev. James Harold Chaseley March 22, 2014. Father Chaseley was born September 8, 1939, son of Harold &amp; Audrey Chaseley of Belle River. He will be greatly missed by his sister Dorothy &amp; husband Keith Johnson and their children Jennifer &amp; Tyler Hicks, Paul &amp; Khristine Johnson, and Steven &amp; Mandy Johnson. Lovingly remembered by great nephews and nieces Matthew and Michael James, Christian and Grace, and Jessica, Adam and Sarah. He is held in loving memory by devoted friends, the Lynne &amp; Bill Sibley family. <br /> <br />Father Chaseley studied at St. Peter&rsquo;s Seminary in London and was ordained May 30, 1964. He ministered at many parishes &ndash; St. Peter&rsquo;s London and Sacred Heart Sarnia. In Sarnia, he served as Director of Religious Education and Director of the Christian Renewal Centre, involving Cursillo, parish renewal and ministries. He also served at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Corunna, Holy Cross London, St. John the Evangelist Woodslee, St. Gabriel&rsquo;s Windsor, St. Anne&rsquo;s Walkerville, and St. William&rsquo;s Emeryville where he still served as Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus (Council 2775). He retired as pastor January 1, 2009, to reside in Belle River. <br /> <br />Our heartfelt thanks go to the dedicated staff of Franklin Gardens, Leamington. You showed unconditional caring and understanding for Fr. Jim in his last days. You are all simply without equal! <br /> <br />Visitation will take place at Good Shepherd Parish-St. William Site, 1203 Faith Drive, Emeryville on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. <br /> <br />Visitation will continue at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, 488 St. Charles St., Belle River on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. William&rsquo;s Cemetery, Emeryville. <br /> <br />In kindness, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Good Shepherd Building Fund, St. Peter&rsquo;s Seminary, or to the Charity of your Choice. <br /> <br />Arrangements entrusted to Melady Funeral Home (519-728-1500). <br /> <br />You may leave your condolences online at www.meladyfuneral.ca <br /></div>
