<div itemprop="description">88 years, passed away peacefully with her loving children by her side on February 1, 2017.Beloved wife of the late Joseph (2010). Loving mother of Rose Lalonde, Charles (Amber), Claire Devantier, Marie Alexander (Dennis), Marc (Kristine) and Lisanne Lalonde, cherished Meme to her 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Maurice Sylvestre (Marjorie) and the late C. Sylvestre. Pauline will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. After a long a dedicated career as a teacher in her community Pauline retired in 1986. During these retirement years she travelled the world with Joe visiting many distant lands including the Holy Land, China, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Ireland, Russia, Scandinavia, North Africa, Central America and many other places. Pauline was an active volunteer for many years, was a past member of Club Richelieu and was a lifetime member of the C.W.L. in Belle River. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Pauline during her years there. After a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer's Disease Pauline has finally been reunited with Joe and they are hopefully once again enjoying a glass of wine together. Visiting will be held at Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St. Belle River 519-728-1500) on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 2:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10 a.m. to St. Simon & St. Jude Church for the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
