Beloved husband of 65 years to Irma (nee Martindale). Loving father of Dennis & Elaine and Dan & Cheryl. Proud “Pip” to his grandchildren Sonya (Jason) Martin, Michael (Katie), Adam, and great grandchildren Taylor, Riley, Jakob and Norah. Dear brother of Stella (late Gerald) Mulhall, (late Charles) & Kay Durocher. Brother-in-law of Shirley Martindale (late Gerald) and predeceased by Charlie Martindale, Walter & Betty Byrne.
Also predeceased by his parents Aurele & Marie Durocher. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Art was a local farmer and he retired from Chrysler in 1983 after 31 years of service.
Visiting at Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame St., Belle River (519-728-1500) on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 3 p.m. and K of C Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Belle River, on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 9:30 until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Hospice of Windsor or to the Alzheimer’s Society.
