<div itemprop="description">TAYLOR, Thomas Phillip <br />1938-2015 <br />Tom was born and raised in Belle River and passed away peacefully at Met Hospital on July 4, 2015 at the age of 77. Loving husband of Lynne (nee Hedrick) for almost 53 years. Cherished father of Dan (Cora), Peter, Beth Coomber (Richard) and Jill Boulay (R&eacute;al). Dear P&eacute;p&eacute; to Jackson, Benjamin and Sarah Taylor, Jessica Randall (Chuck), Ricky and Sabrina Coomber and Sophie Boulay. Great-P&eacute;p&eacute; of River Randall. Tom was the son of the late Earl and Zoe Taylor. Beloved brother of John (late Katie) and Jim (Nora) and predeceased by Paul (Barbara), Peter, and Cathy Fitzmaurice. He was a retired math teacher from Brennan High School, and was proud of the time he spent teaching in The Gambia, Africa in 1984. He was a Fellow of the Ontario Teachers Federation and very involved in O.E.C.T.A. Tom was the former Reeve of Belle River and proud member of the Belle River Lions Club for over 50 years. Owner of Bluewater Pools in Chatham since 1968. A special thank you to the staff on the Oncology floor at Met Hospital for their wonderful care and treatment of Tom and his family. Visitation will be held at Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame, Belle River (519-728-1500) on Monday from 7-9 and on Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9. The visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at St. Simon and St Jude Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian burial at 10:30. Interment to follow at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Belle River Lions Club or Transition to Betterness.</div>
