<div itemprop="description">88 years, of Woodslee, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 26, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Gerald (1993) for 41 years. Mother of Jerry “G”, Terry and Janis, late Maureen Harold (2004), Debby and Paul Mahon, Elaine and Jonas Angus, Denise and Bob Chevalier, late Ruth Pescosolido (2009), Kevin, Tim and Cheryl, Mathew and Marga, Karen and John Peltier. Loving grandmother of 14 and predeceased by granddaughter Nicole Angus (1994). Step-grandmother of 4, great grandmother of 4 boys and step great grandma of 2. Predeceased by siblings, Marjorie, Ronald, Geraldine, Jim, Rosie. Survived by brother Eugene and wife Barb, brother-in-law, Maurice Bechard and sisters-in-law Gladys Castanier and Veronica Deschamps. Former “Summer Mother” to nephews, John, Jim, Shawn, and niece Sheila. Aunt Betty holds a special place in the heart of many nieces and nephews. She was the godmother to many. Betty was a Life Long member of St. John the Evangelist CWL. Betty’s children would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Country Village Health Care Center for the stellar care, and personal attention that she received over the past 12 years. Visitation will be held at Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St. Belle River 519-728-1500) on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. CWL Prayers at 3 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Visiting will continue at St. John the Evangelist Church on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow and the interment of Betty’s cremated remains will take place at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Community Living Essex County, The Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex, or The Fragile X Research Foundation of Canada would be most appreciated by the family.
