Myers, Donald Rudolph Sr.
July 1, 1940- November 29, 2015
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father. He is now at peace in the arms of God. He was the greatest husband in the world to his wife Shannon (Jewhurst), who have been together for 61 years. Cherished by his children whom he loved dearly, Debbie and Bernie Deschaine, Kim and Ron McClintock, Robin and Brian Ghanam, Don Jr. and Marie Myers, Anne and Dale Graham, Mike and Janice Myers, Alec Ray and Eric Myers-Ray. Predeceased by Roberta Myers Ray and Doug Seguin. He will be dearly missed by his 22 precious grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, brother Ray (Bev) Myers, sister Shirley (Roland) Demers, cousin Richard (Virginia) Hebert, sisters-in-law Carol (Steve) Boughner, Lynn (Tony) Budrewicz, many nieces and nephews and his precious puppy Hercules. Don was a business owner starting with Starlite Variety Stores and several businesses later retiring with the Expressmart in Emeryville. Don and Shannon worked side by side for over 50 years with their children and grandchildren and enjoyed every day. It never felt like a job. Special thanks to the caring staff at WRH-Met Campus and the Tayfour Campus. Visitation will be held at Melady Funeral Home 572 Notre Dame Street, Belle River 519-728-1500 on Thursday, December 3rd from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 3 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, 10:15 a.m. then to Good Shepherd St. William Church, Emeryville for Mass at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
