<div itemprop="description">The world lost one of its best. Aline Byrne passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Roy Byrne (1997) for 51 years. Loving Mother of Gary (Linda), Colette VanderPark (late Alphonse, 2013), Paul (Joan), Diane Bowman (Gordon), the late Annette (2002), and Steven (Debbie). Devoted Meme to the late Dawn (1969) Denny, Dale, Scott, Melanie, Brandon, Dayna, Ryan, Meghan, Priscilla and Meme to 8 great grandchildren. Dear Sister to Magella Leboeuf (late Alphonse), Brother of the late Roger Sylvestre (late Janette), Late Eugene Sylvestre (Theresa), Rene (DeeDee). Mom shared many happy years later in life with her companion Roland Laporte. Special thanks to Elizabeth Ryan for loving our Mom for so many years, and being there for her day and night. Special thanks to the very caring staff at La Chaumiere Retirement Home. Aline was a member of the Belle River Catholic Women's League and very active as a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. The most amazing Mother we could ever hope to haveā€¦ we are all truly blessed! Visitation will take place at Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St. Belle River, 519-728-1500) on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 2-5 & 7-9 with Catholic Women's League prayers at 3p.m. and Parish prayers at 8:30p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, May 3 from 9-10a.m. at St. Simon & St. Jude Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery in Belle River. If desired, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.</div>
