<div itemprop="description">SYLVESTRE, Marcella (nee Desjardins)<br />Peacefully at Riverview Gardens on January 22, 2016 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Marcel (2015). Loving Mom to James (1991), Gary and wife Claudia. Adored Meme to Eric, Alexandra and Andre. Dear sister of Blanche Labute, Irene Leboeuf (Late Maurice), Imelda Sylvestre (Rene), predeceased by Marguerite Martin (Joe), Edna Ladouceur (Raymond), Jeannette Sylvestre (Roger) and Madeleine Chauvin (Louis). Dear sister-in-law of Real, predeceased by Sylvio (Lorette), Germaine Comeau, Cyril (Bridget), Melina Lesperance (Clarence) and Philip. Aunt Marcella will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Marcella was born and raised in Tecumseh and moved to the community of St. Joachim after marrying Marcel in 1947, where she dedicated her life to raising her family. Marcella was a faithful member of the Catholic Women&rsquo;s League (St. Joachim) and Les Dames de Ste. Anne (St. Joachim). She enjoyed many winters in Florida with Marcel where they created fond memories with dear friends. Marcella cherished her children and grandchildren. We could always count on wonderful meals, delicious pies and time to chat about our days. A special thank you to the staff of Riverview Gardens, CCAC, Kathy and Henrietta, who provided compassionate care to Marcella over the years. Visitation at St. Simon &amp; St. Jude Parish, 488 Charles St., Belle River on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Following the visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joachim Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Joachim Cemetery Fund C/O Visitation Parish.</div>
