<div itemprop="description">Peacefully on November 1, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Devoted and loving husband of Marcella (Desjardins) for 68 years. Wonderful dad to James (1991), Gary and wife Claudia. Proud and adored Pepe to Eric, Alexandra and Andre. Dear brother of Real predeceased by Sylvio (Lorette), Germaine Comeau, Cyril (Bridgette), Melina Lesperance (Clarence), and Philip. Loving brother in law of Blanche Labute, Irene Leboeuf (late Maurice), Imelda Sylvestre (Rene), predeceased by Marguerite Martin (Joe), Edna Ladouceur (Raymond), Jeannette Sylvestre (Roger), Madeleine Chauvin (Louis). Uncle Marcel will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Marcel was born and raised in the community of St. Joachim where he also raised his family. He retired from Chrysler Canada after many years of service. He spent many winters in Florida with his wife Marcella. When spring arrived he would return home to prepare equipment and work the land with his son Gary. Marcel enjoyed crop touring and visiting &ldquo;the gang&rdquo; in the fields, bringing them a Timmy's and chatting about everything agriculture. We are grateful for the memories through the years spent with pep and dad. He will be greatly missed. Thank you to the many medical professionals who provided compassionate care to Marcel over the last few years. Memorial donations to St. Joachim Cemetery Fund would be appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame Street on Tuesday, November 3rd from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers 4 p.m and Knight of Columbus prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, November 4th at 9:30 a.m. to St. Simon and St. Jude Church for mass at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Joachim Cemetery.</div>
