<div itemprop="description">November 19, 1922 - October 18, 2016<br>Beloved wife of the late Douglas "Chauncey" Depew (2004). Predeceased by parents George and Olive Taylor. Loving mom of Sharon McKinley and Beverly Benson (Douglas). Cherished grandmother to Angela Mallory (Earl), Rachel Stewart (Frank), Kristin Merrifield (Scott), Michael Leyte (Jennelle) and Joel McKinley (Lea). Great-Grandma Jean to Kyle, Kaylin (Eli), Seth, Nicole, Eric, Grace, Carter, Brayden and Andrew. Dear sister to the late Jack Taylor. Survived by sister-in-law Doris Taylor and her daughters Susan Shivas, Debra Taylor and many cousins in Chatham-Kent. During her life, Jean had a variety of careers, which included working at a munitions factory in Tilbury during WW II, Artistic Ladies Wear in Chatham, a school bus driver and along with her husband Doug, owned and operated Kent Driving School. In the end it was her creative nature that surfaced. Jean spent hours and hours creating "florals" for her family and friends and most recently her passion was painting ceramic "critters." The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Huron Lodge "Dogwood" and Dr. Amit Bagga and his loving dialysis team at WRH - Ouellette Campus. Visiting will be held at Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St. Belle River 519-728-1500) on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery.
