LEVASSEUR, Denis Philippe
Born August 2, 1936, passed suddenly, and reunited with his beloved wife, Diane (2006), on August 1, 2015. Devoted son of the late Rosaire and Merine. Proud father of Keith (Leanne Bechard), Mark (Connie Clifford), and Linda Levasseur. The “best papa ever’ of Austin (Ashley), Lauren, Tina, Tonya, Sha-Lynn, and “Grandpa Denis” to Matthew, Emma and Beth. Great-grandfather to 8. Survived by his brothers Jerome (Bernadette), Hector, and his sister, and best friend Mary-Jane (late Albert). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Best friend of Gary. Denis retired from Ford Canada, he was also an avid member of the Woodslee Friendship Club. Visitation will be held at Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame, Belle River (519-728-1500) on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Simon and St. Jude Parish for a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. Online condolences may be left at www.meladyfuneral.ca.
