<div itemprop="description">86 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday, December 14, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Earl &ldquo;Slim&rdquo; Delaurier and Paul Labute. Loving mother of Christine Kaake and husband Tim and predeceased by daughter Colleen and son Tommy. Cherished grandmother to Tricia Seguin (Norb Poggio) and Shanon Garcia (Pedro) and the late Shelly. Great-grandmother to Christopher and Samantha Reed and Adam, Jacob and Oscar Garcia. Dear sister to Colleen Deschaine, Euclid Laporte (Paulette), Don Laporte (Cathy) and Romeo Laporte (Peggy) and predeceased by brothers Richard and Jimmy Lefave, Vincent and Russell Laporte and sisters Irene Dupuis and Lorraine Beyma. Godmother to Bruce Delaurier, Marilyn Lefave, David Laporte and Dean Beyma. Special aunt to Judy and husband Rick Dumont. Bernice will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bernice was a Lifetime Member of the R.C.L. Br. #399 Ladies Auxiliary. In the early 1960&rsquo;s, Bernice was the best homemade bread maker in Belle River, selling loaves of bread for only 25 cents. Visiting will be held at the Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St. Belle River 519-728-1500) on Thursday from 7-9 pm and on Friday from 2-5 p.m. &amp; 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers Friday at 4:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. to St. Simon and St. Jude Church for the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Simon &amp; St. Jude Cemetery.
